These cute Chevron Striped beach bags are only $28. Unfortunately, they are sold out of all but khaki, and are planning on changing the style of this soon. This bag would not be too hard to remake, if you could find a chevron stripe pattern you liked in a fabric that would work for a beach bag. Over at DIY Design they have a list of resources to make your own bag, from choosing the right fabric to suggesting a few different patterns you could use. Even the free one they suggest at About.com would work with some alterations for the purposes of recreating this bag.
If you can’t find a good chevron print you could always paint one using the tutorial for this rug to make your own print. You can also use stencils to make your own monogram if you aren’t comfortable doing the embroidery on it (or you could take up embroidery to learn how to monogram things).
Or if you love the bag but don’t feel the want to try to make one that’s similar yourself, we found this great little bag over at a wishlist that is quite similar to the ones pictured above, for only $25. The chevron striping is a bit thinner, and it’s in brighter colors, so it won’t be for everyone, but I know some people who prefer the bright colors to the dark ones.
